Many were quick to point out that Linkin Park and Kiiara's " Heavy " sounds almost exactly like The Chainsmokers and Halsey's " Closer "."Neighbors" by Camouflage sounds a lot like "New Dress" by Depeche Mode.
In the instrumental part of The Cure's "Prayers for Rain", there is a chord sequence that sounds like the chords for Alphaville "Dance with Me"."Sheer Heart Attack" starts off with a few verses that were copied from the beginning of The Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There.".Edwards later admitted bassist John Deacon hung around with Chic in the studio, hence him developing basically the same riff.
